Ajalugu. Balti raudtee valmis aastal 1870. Sellest ajast sõitsid auru jõul reisirongid Tallinna–Paldiski rongiliinil.; Elektrirongiliiklus liinil avati novembris 1961. 1968. aastast muudeti Pakri poolsaar kinniseks piirkonnaks ning Laoküla raudteepeatusse rajati reisijate kontrollpunkt. Pärast nõukogude vägede lahkumist Paldiskist kontrollpunkt likvideeriti.
